This FLEET Industry Engagement seminar series aims to provide insights on university-industry collaborations, technology commercialisation of university research, the semiconductor industry in Australia and overseas, as well as alternative career paths for STEM PhD graduates.
In this webinar, Dr Laura Faulconer will be presenting a VC-backed startup career pathway. Join us to hear about how some of Australia’s and New Zealand’s high growth deep-tech startups got started, the scientists and engineers that are building these companies, and the investors backing them.
About the speaker: Dr Laura Faulconer is Associate Partner at Antler, an early-stage venture capital fund. She has invested in and supported deep tech entrepreneurs for 12 years across various roles in Australia, News Zealand and the US after earning her PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
