FLEET Strategic Meeting & ECR Workshop

Members Only Event

With the goal to increase cross-node collaboration within FLEET, this August we will be holding two co-locating events:

• A strategic meeting for investigators to discuss centre progress, and
• An research workshop organised by our ECRs to specifically catered for postdoctoral researchers and students. This first ECR workshop will be co-located with FLEET Strategic meeting at UNSW Sydney. 70 ECRs and students have confirmed their attendance, please contact Tich-Lam for any last-minutes registration.

10:00-11:30: Opening & Panel discussion on “Career planning” with Mark Edmonds (Monash), Kirrily Rule (ANSTO), Anton Tadich (Synchrotron), Torben Daeneke (RMIT), Mark Gross (UNSW ANFF), Ashwin Srinivasan (Silanna) and Julie Karel (Monash)
11:30-15:30: 2 sessions of research presentations
16:00-18:00: Poster presentations followed by dinner on campus

Friday 16 Aug

09:00-11:30: Joint session with FLEET strategic meeting in M18

Transportation:

Bus transfers can be organised for those registered:

• 9AM departure SYD airport to UNSW on 15 Aug 2019
• 6:30PM departure UNSW to SYD airport on 16 Aug 2019

Childcare & Family travel assistance:

As with all FLEET workshops, childcare can be arranged if required. Please indicate in the registration form if you will be travelling with family and requiring childcare. Travel assistance can be offered to members with family responsibilities, please contact Tich-Lam or a member of the Equity & Diversity Committee at your node.
