Marcus Goffage
Student (PhD), UNSW
Marcus Goffage was a PhD student working with FLEET Associate Investigators Sue Coppersmith and Chief Investigator Alex Hamilton at the University of New South Wales Sydney.
Marcus worked on designing and optimising topological nanodevices for his PhD project. He carried out theoretical work, while collaborating closely with experimentalists, to develop schemes for simulating topological phases in quantum systems. This will allow for the fine-tuning of properties which will lead to deeper insights into these exotic phases. This work aligned with FLEET Research Theme 1 Topological materials.
