Industry internship program

A partnership between FLEET and APR-intern funds a route to gain valuable ‘on the floor’ industry experience for FLEET PhD/Masters students, increasing job skills and leveraging Australian scientific expertise in industry, with funding supporting the placement of research students with industry partners. Internships will be for three months, tightly focused research projects giving postgraduate students the opportunity to apply their analytical research expertise while gaining invaluable experience in an industry setting.

Why do an internship? (students) If you are an HDR student, these facilitated internship placements are an opportunity to:

Eligibility: Criteria can vary depending on your university and the industry partner. However, the following must be met by all students:

  • Currently enrolled PhD student at an Australian university
  • Met confirmation milestones and endorsed by your supervisor
  • Domestic student or international student with appropriate visa
  • FLEET member.
