Prof.
Torben Daeneke
Chief Investigator, RMIT
Prof Torben Daeneke (RMIT) is focused on the development of novel synthetic pathways for the large-scale production of functional atomically-thin materials. Torben has developed novel pathways allowing the wafer-scale synthesis of atomically-thin transition, post-transition and rare-earth metal oxides: materials with unique electronic, magnetic and optical properties that were used in FLEET’s Enabling technologies A and B, and Research theme 2.
As a Chief Investigator for FLEET, Torben also developed new synthetic approaches for target materials, specifically focusing on metal chalcogenide and oxide semiconductors and topological insulators. FLEET Executive Committee 2020-2024.
