PI Prof James Hone directs the U.S. NSF-funded Center for Precision Assembly of Superstratic and Superatomic Solids (PAS3) at Columbia University. As a FLEET PI, James coordinated collaboration between PAS3 and FLEET, and provided expertise in assembling the highest quality heterostructures of 2D materials, a field he pioneered, to bear on the necessary device structures for indirect-exciton and exciton-polariton condensation in atomically thin materials, advancing FLEET’s Enabling technology B.
