PI Prof Barbaros Özyilmaz has significant expertise in assembling the highest quality heterostructures of 2D semiconductors, which he applied to FLEET’s Enabling technology B, developing device structures for exciton-polaritons in layered transition metal dichalcogenides, and developing phosphorene devices as a narrow-gap semiconductor platform for study of nonequilibrium topological phenomena.
